If the hardware in your toilet runs constantly, your water bill will go through the stratosphere.

How to test: Lift the tank’s lid from the back of the toilet, then you will notice some of your toilet’s hardware, and you will notice the water that will be used to flush your toilet once you engage the lever. Pour “red dye” into the tank water, place the lid back atop the toilet. Now if you come back some time later and notice red water(not clear) where you “do your business,” your toilet needs new parts(unless you desire to give your hard-earned money to the water company).
